serving in the kitchenIf you would like to participate in serving meals, there are a few ways to become involved. The ministry is organized in serving teams, each of which has a team leader. Leaders and team members are trained in areas of acceptable dining hall behavior, general safety, food and kitchen sanitation, security, and fire awareness. A packet with this material is distributed for review to participating teams. Anyone that serves is expected to become familiar with these policies. We also ask that volunteers are 16 years or older, unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Training sessions are offered periodically and all volunteers are encouraged to attend. It is not a requirement to attend training before one can volunteer, but please download and read the policies if you have not attended training.
serving teamsIn order to join the ministry with a serving team, the following goals should be met:
individualsIf you are not associated with a church that sponsors a team, the simplest thing to do is contact one of the team leaders at a church that has a team established and ask to serve with them. A complete list of teams and contact information is posted to the website and the serving calendar is also available on-line. A second way is to contact one of the Advisory Board Members and work with them to be assigned times to serve with one of the teams.
