what is disciples kitchen?Disciples Kitchen in Waynesboro, VA is a local soup kitchen open to individuals and families in need of a hot meal. "TO GO" MEALS ARE HANDED OUT IN THE CHURCH PARKING LOT OF SECOND PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH FROM 11:30 TO 12: 00 NOON ON MONDAYS, TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS. AND Saturday Breakfast at Christ Tabernacle Church of God in Christ; 489 N. Winchester Ave. (this building was formerly Basic United Methodist Church) 10:30-11:30 a.m. All meals are served free-of-charge to anyone in need. Disciples Kitchen is an ecumenical ministry sponsored by more than 25 churches and organizations and close to 250 active volunteers. Since it opened its doors in September 2007, Disciples Kitchen has served more than 130,000 meals. Each meal averages around 40 to 50 diners. The goal of the program is to share what God has given us - God's love and God's blessings - by providing a delicious and nutritious meal free-of-charge to anyone who needs it. The body of Christ works best when it works together. Discipleship and service know no boundaries. We are always appreciative of donations and volunteer resources. |

Commerce Avenue just behind the church (which is on N. Delphine Ave.) N. Commerce Ave. is a side street that is right at the railroad bridge crossing.
